Why do I blog? It's a valid question. #NaBloPoMo

Why do I blog?

It’s a valid question. There are some days I wonder the same thing myself! I started blogging 10 years ago because I had major health issues and needed an outlet plus a little income since the burden of our bills was on my husband.

I found out I loved it. I had a few blogs going, a deal/coupon site, a craft site and a food site. They are all still in existance I just don’t promote them much. I felt scattered though so I learned how to code and built this site from scratch. From there this blog has brought me so much joy and heartache. I feel like it’s another one of my kids. I have met some pretty awesome people, made fantastic contacts and produced two jobs from it. It’s a true labor of love.

To the question why do I blog? I love writing. I love trying out products so you don’t have to. I love sharing awesome finds, like a great coupon, fun recipe or really cute item that I think would make your life easier. Product reviewers get a bad rap because like in any profession, there are bloggers who are scammers etc. I just like trying stuff out and letting you know if you should waste your time or not. I only blog about things I think are worth your time. I love finding recipes that are fun things for you to make! But the biggest reason I blog? I love meeting people from all walks of life. I have so many interesting, fun followers. The people that stick around and hang out with me on social media are awesome. I love to be surrounded by articulate, sarcastic, fantastically witty people. My social media followers that I have gathered are my tribe. They get me and it’s so awesome!!

I will continue to blog as long as it fun. I don’t care about pageviews, stats or what Page Rank I am. I just want to bring fun things to fantastic people out there in the wide world of the web. Sometimes it’s hard and you feel like a hamster on a wheel. Then you get an email or message about how you helped someone or that your review introduced them to a product that changed their life and it makes it all worth it. So yeah, I love you guys. The My Crafty Life tribe are rockstars.  Thank you for following me and thank you for being the best followers ever.

P.S. I am sorry I was slacking on my posts for NaBloPoMo – I got a double ear infection and tonsil infection so I wasn’t on the computer. ♥

If you are a blogger, why do you blog? Or if you are a non-blogger…what makes you follow a blog?

About jen @craftymomof3

I am a "crafty" mom of 3 who has been blogging for 10+ years. I’ve been a product reviewer/influencer on and off, but mostly just write about life and food I love. I’m a dyslexic, an extreme book addict, a total nerd, a fangirl, and a paranormal enthusiast. I am a New Englander at heart but I currently live in the MidWest. I am obsessed with the ocean, food, tech, books, anything supernatural, and although I am hopelessly sarcastic...I am a softy. Oh, and I like coffee. A LOT.

Oh, and I like coffee. A LOT.
