In honor of the new Smurfs movie, The Smurfs: The Lost Villiage my kids and I decided to make one of our favorite snacks, marshmallow popcorn.

The kids and I made our favorite S’mores Marshmallow Popcorn recipe, Smurf style. It’s sticky, messy and completely delicious.

The recipe only calls for 5 ingredients so it’s super easy.

    Smurfs S’mores Marshmallow Popcorn Ingredients:

    • half stick of butter, cubed
    • 1 bag of medium marshmallows
    • 3 cups of graham cracker cereal
    • 2 cups of M&Ms
    • 4 cups of popcorn- any kind

How to make Smurf S’mores Marshmallow Popcorn

First line a cookie sheet with non-stick wax paper or grease the pan if you don’t have wax paper.

Start by melting the marshmallows and butter together on medium heat in a larger pot.

Make sure you melt the marshmallows most of the way but not completely before putting any other ingredients in the pot. You want the butter to help coat the popcorn.

Slowly add the popcorn in the pot.

Cover the popcorn completely with a plastic spoon. It helps to butter the spoon so the mix doesn’t stick to the spoon.

Add the graham cracker cereal to the mix and turn off the heat. Mix thoroughly.

Before the mix cools and is still malleable, using the spoon scoop little balls of the mix onto the cookie sheet. Then add the M&Ms. DO NOT add them to the pot. They will melt.

Let cool and separate them into a lidded container or if you’re my family just eat it! It doesn’t last a day. It’s my daughter’s favorite treat.

It’s sooo messy but it’s worth it. If you can’t make s’mores this is an excellent substitute. It’s yummy, chocolatey, marshmallowy goodness on a plate.

Check out the new The Smurfs: The Lost Village that released April 7th in theaters!

I am a "crafty" mom of 3 who has been blogging for 10+ years. I’ve been a product reviewer/influencer on and off, but mostly just write about life and food I love. I’m a dyslexic, an extreme book addict, a total nerd, a fangirl, and a paranormal enthusiast. I am a New Englander at heart but I currently live in the MidWest. I am obsessed with the ocean, food, tech, books, anything supernatural, and although I am hopelessly sarcastic...I am a softy. Oh, and I like coffee. A LOT.
