Yo Gabba Gabba! Live! Get The Sillies Out! #yogabbagabba

This past Sunday I got to treat my daughter to a live show with characters she has loved since the age of 2. We went to the Akoo Theater in Rosemont, IL. From the moment we walked in Lu was super excited.

My husband and I were really surprised at how well the show was done and how it kept the kids attention. We first were greeted by DJ Lance on a HUGE screen. The kids went wild when he jumped out of the screen!

There were awesome streamers that shot out of the side of the stage and then we were treated to the rest of the characters who came out and played the Name Game to introduce themselves.

We also were privy to the musical stylings of Mike Park and Biz Markie who even had the kids get up on stage and try beat boxing. :)

After about 40 minutes Yo Gabba Gabba took a short break and we got to chill out and talk about how exciting the show was! Lu also joined other kids with playing with the streamers in the aisles. They had so much fun.

After intermission Lu was really excited because the Yo Gabba Gabba characters sang her favorite song There’s a Party in My Tummy!  It was even complete with dancing vegetables in the aisles. :) Lu was dancing and singing right along with them.

Thousands of bubbles went all over the theater, it was awesomely beautiful! Kids were going crazy trying to catch them.

The show ended with lots of singing and tons more streamers! It was a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. The kids were really well behaved (can’t say the same for the adults who pushed their way into the orchestra pit when they didn’t pay for tickets there. :() and it wasn’t nearly as loud as I thought it would be. We had a rockin’ good time. Definitely worth it if your little ones are into the show.
