This month, XFINITY launched a new app as part of the X1 entertainment system. The XFINITY Share App, available to X1 Triple Play customers, is a great new feature where other XFINITY customers can share live video, photos and more through their mobile phones and TVs. How cool is that? At first I thought do we really need this? Aren’t we too connected as it is? Then I downloaded and tried out the app. It’s so cool. My husband and I can send videos back and forth of the kids, cats, whatever with out putting it on social media and only people that are signed on our account or we invite can see it!
When someone you know wants to live stream video to your X1 DVR, you’ll receive an on-screen TV notification letting you know someone has sent you an invitation. You are then free to accept or reject, giving you complete freedom to watch it then or stay tuned in to your favorite shows.
This is me messing around with the app. It was so fun because I was videoing the cats and my daughter then sending it to my husband at work.
Couldn’t make your little one’s soccer game because of work? With the X1 Share App, someone at the game can live stream it for you to your television. Never miss out on another special moment! Feeling major FOMO of your favorite artist in concert? Your friends can live stream your favorite song right to your TV with the X1 Share App.
The neatest way to share or live stream IMO is live streaming right from the hospital room! I would have loved this when I had my kids because all of my family lived 1000 miles away from me.

The XFINITY Share mobile app is available through the App Store and Google Play.
