I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Welch’s. I received product samples to facilitate my review, and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.

There a few brands my family and I can not live without. We do tend to buy generic if we can, budget wise we have to but there are a few things that we can not buy generic. Grape juice and jelly are one of these products we never skimp on. Since I was very little I have always had Welch’s jelly, grape specifically. It’s my favorite and I can always tell when people try to pull one over on me with a different kind.

My husband is out of the house 15 hours a day so on the weekend we like to have family time in the morning. Some times depending on how rough of a week it has been, brunch. Sometimes we sit around in our jammies and watch cartoons or a show we haven’t watched that week. Other times we sit on the deck an snack on toast, waffles etc. We tend to be away from each other a lot during the week, it’s important to connect on that basic level. I know family moments mean different things to everyone but my definition is whenever we are together. It’s the small, little moments that make up a life. It’s all in the “let them be little” philosophy. There is nothing that irks me more than a scheduled weekend. I think it defeats the purpose of a weekend. When I feel the tensions in my house reach epic levels I declare a “do nothing” weekend. No friends, play dates, obligations. Nothing. Reading, crafts, cooking – that’s all that’s allowed. It saves our sanity.

It’s also a great idea to “steal time away” with your family. This gets harder as the kids get older. We steal time by planning little outings. Since it’s fall we recently took a trip to the local pumpkin farm for some rides, cider and apple cider donuts. It was fun and relaxing even if it was only for an hour or so.

    About jen @craftymomof3

I am a "crafty" mom of 3 who has been blogging for 10+ years. I’ve been a product reviewer/influencer on and off, but mostly just write about life and food I love. I’m a dyslexic, an extreme book addict, a total nerd, a fangirl, and a paranormal enthusiast. I am a New Englander at heart but I currently live in the MidWest. I am obsessed with the ocean, food, tech, books, anything supernatural, and although I am hopelessly sarcastic...I am a softy. Oh, and I like coffee. A LOT.
