I have always been a huge fan of any kind of interesting decorations for walls. I love decals, neat art work, creative paint effects, any thing that can make a room reflect it’s owner. I also have grown to love wall decals. 10 years ago there weren’t a lot of choices for wall decals unless your house was still stuck in the eighties. (My old house was…until my Mom saved it with a nice New England Red coat of paint!) Splatter paint & sailboat silhouettes in pastels were about your only choice. Fast forward to the present….wall decals are becoming more and more the choice of people who want designer looks with minimal effort and temporary. Let’s face it…you want something you can use and change as your mood fits and not be stuck with something for years. I haven’t lived in my own space for awhile so I have been very interested in these new vinyl decals that are removable.
Enter Walls Need Love. I received an email asking if I would be willing to review their products and I seriously jumped at the chance after reviewing their site. They have very wide selection of wall art including Monogram Wall Decals, really cool Rapid Wall Stripes Decals and Wall Quotes. My daughter and I had fun choosing the products we wanted to review. (Mind you, they do have a sailboat silhouette but it doesn’t make me gag!) 😉
So on to the review….
My review? I was pleasantly surprised. The graphics up close and personal are very vivid and eye catching. My daughters were very excited when I open the box. Since we are currently living at my parents while looking for a house we really couldn’t put the decals on the wall. Sooo… we came up with an art project (as the Crafty Family does) and ran to Walmart for supplies. Check out my web album of our craft project:
I am really pleased with our decals. We had a little bit of difficulty with bubbles in the decal, it’s kind of time consuming getting them out (we are not sure if that was a problem with the product or just the fact we weren’t putting in on a wall like you are supposed to) and I had a problem with the decals sticking before they were supposed to on the surface (again, not on a wall). Over all, I was really pleased and the decals are awesome looking on the wall and the instructions were very clear. I definitely recommend these decals if your walls need a little pick me up and you need a DIY solution. My daughter has a really cute mirror that she can keep for years.
I was given these items for review purposes only by Walls Need Love. No other compensation was received and positive review was not required.
