6 Ways to Stay Warm in a Cold Office

Doesn’t it seem as though finding a comfortable office temperature is impossible? Typically offices have a pre set thermostat, so adjusting the temperature on chilly days can be a challenge. Luckily, there are ways you can stay warm in the office, and none of them require starting a campfire at your desk. Take a look below at 6 ways to stay warm in a cold office so you can be sure to stay toasty all season long.

    1. Keep layers on hand.

Keep a sweater, shawl, extra socks, and extra leggings in your desk. This way you can create layers and add or remove them as needed. Choose neutral colors so they can pair with anything you may be wearing. Should a chill arise you will be ready to layer up and bring on some warmth.

    2. Try a small space heater if allowed.

Not all offices allow a space heater but if yours does, invest in one. You can snag small heaters for as low as $20 and they can make a huge difference. Tuck under a desk to keep feet warm and see how much better you feel! For safety reasons, find a heater that turns off when tipped over to avoid fire or burns.

    3. Consider an electric blanket.

An electric blanket placed over your desk chair can make a huge difference. If your office allows it and you have an outlet near, an electric blanket over you chair can help you stay cozy and warm all day. You can even get the last bit of heat out of it on the ride home. How perfect is that?

    4. Try a toasty microwavable heat pack.

Find a microwavable heat pack or make your own using a sock and dry rice or grab one on Etsy. Then just zap it in the microwave until warm. You can then use it on your seat or in your lap as a hand warmer. When it goes cool, just reheat. This is a great option for people who can’t use electric heating devices or heaters.

    5. Dollar store hand warmers can help.

Your local dollar store sells hand warmers perfect for this time of year. Just snap one and activate the heat and it can help keep you warm for hours. These are great for keeping cold fingers warm or you can even set your drinks on them to help them stay warm between sips.

    6. Try peel and stick pain patches.

If you suffer from muscle aches due to the cold weather, try a peel and stick pain patch that offers heat as well. Solanpas and other makers offer peel and stick patches that will not only soothe soreness but warm you up in the process. They are great for backs, necks, arms, and even legs when muscle soreness and aches and pains kick in.

Are you tired of feeling cold in the office? Give these 6 ways to stay warm in a cold office a try and see which ones seem to help you the most! As you can see, you have lots of options for staying warm and toasty.

I am a "crafty" mom of 3 who has been blogging for 10+ years. I’ve been a product reviewer/influencer on and off, but mostly just write about life and food I love. I’m a dyslexic, an extreme book addict, a total nerd, a fangirl, and a paranormal enthusiast. I am a New Englander at heart but I currently live in the MidWest. I am obsessed with the ocean, food, tech, books, anything supernatural, and although I am hopelessly sarcastic...I am a softy. Oh, and I like coffee. A LOT.
