It’s that time of the year. The dreaded “springing forward” otherwise known as daylight savings time. It’s my least favorite time of the year and I spend the next two months trying to force my body to adjust. My only perk is that I no longer have babies to try to force to adjust right along with me.

Make Springing Forward a little less painful

There are ways to make it less painful. Find things that lift your mood or save you loads of time so you can hit the sack early and catch up on your missing sleep. Your frame of mind is key to battling exhaustion, sleep deprivation and all the moodiness that comes with them. To help you conquer Springing Forward I have a few tools to add to your arsenal.

    filtered waterGet It Here

Amp up your water intake!! When you are tired, caffeine is what your body craves. Don’t deny it what it wants but make sure you keep your water intake a priority. Save money while keeping your body hydrated with a filtered water system! Filtered water is so much cheaper and better than bottled water, which in most cases is basically tap water. I can taste the difference between brands. People think I am nuts but I can. I stick to filtered water as much as I can. It takes out contaminants like organic chemicals, bacteria, and arsenic….all which can be found in some bottled waters.

Healthy meals at homeGet It Here

I am a huge fan of meal delivery programs. One that we have tried out is Home Chef. They have an amazing menu. You can pick from meals like truffle demi-glace sirloin steak, southern fried chicken and white cheddar grits or our favorite, classic chicken fettuccine alfredo. Each week is different. Choose between 13 easy-to-follow recipes, including carb- and calorie-conscious recipes, and recipes without gluten ingredients. HomeChef sets their menus 5 weeks in advance so you can schedule your weekly meals with ease. My favorite part is that you can take your delivery from doorstep to the table in about 30 minutes. Total time and energy saver. I have found we eat so much better when we are not scrounging for food in the kitchen or just grabbing whatever is easiest. Now that you have your finances squared away, you look amazing because of your perfect new wardrobe and have killer skin from all the water you have been drinking, it’s time to show it all off with a fantastic vacation. My husband and I are planning a little getaway to celebrate my 40th birthday this year and I cannot wait to go!! I always use sites like Trip Advisor to book our vacation rentals, car rentals, and airfare because #1 I like to save money so I can shop more on my trip and #2 I don’t have time to shop around for prices.

    About jen @craftymomof3

I am a "crafty" mom of 3 who has been blogging for 10+ years. I’ve been a product reviewer/influencer on and off, but mostly just write about life and food I love. I’m a dyslexic, an extreme book addict, a total nerd, a fangirl, and a paranormal enthusiast. I am a New Englander at heart but I currently live in the MidWest. I am obsessed with the ocean, food, tech, books, anything supernatural, and although I am hopelessly sarcastic...I am a softy. Oh, and I like coffee. A LOT.
