I had been hearing a lot about this specific lotion from a group of moms at school called Skin MD. One of them was telling me that some of their kids had eczema and one of their friends suggested they try a lotion called Skin MD. She tried it and the red scaliness, according to her, was gone in a few days. My interest was piqued because my kids get pretty itchy dermatitis however I soon forgot about it and didn’t look for the lotion on my next visit to the store.

Fast forward to a few weeks later, I opened my inbox and found an email from a rep from what company? You guessed it, Skin MD. It was a sign. She offered to send me some samples to review and I jumped on it. The samples came really quickly, in two kinds of lotion. One was Skin MD Natural Shielding Face, Hand & Body Lotion and Skin MD Natural Shielding Face, Hand & Body Lotion with SPF 15 Sunscreen. I gave my mom and my husband a packet of the lotion,  I also tried one. I always try it on myself before I try it on my kids sensitive skin.

I love this lotion. It goes on really easy. It’s not sticky.  It’s nice an thin, not goopy like a lot of other lotions. My hands still feel smooth after a few hours.  My main complaint about lotion that is specifically for sensitive skin is that it is always thick and you have to use a lot of it for it to work. My mom didn’t feel like the lotion was any better than the other she used, but did agree with me that it went on easy and didn’t have a sticky residue.

Here’s my husbands take on it:

Absorbs really well even on really dry skin. Dries quickly. No slimy feeling. Also worked well on dry patches on my knees and elbows. Skin felt well hydrated most of the day. The lack of fragrance was refreshing, especially for a guy. Genuinely like this product.

He’s not one to say he likes stuff either. I can’t even tell you how many lotions I have tried for him! He’s very picky and my kids inherited their dry skin from him.

So now here’s the fun part. Skin MD is giving away a full sized four ounce bottle of Skin MD’s Shielding Lotion to a My Crafty Life reader!

The giveaway is open to US & Canada.
