Mertado.com is an online social shopping site that sells top of the line home & kitchen products at up to 70% off. Membership is free.

Built on the Facebook social media platform, the Mertado site allows shoppers to recommend purchases, see what their friends are buying, and interact with their network while shopping for their favorite brands at deeply discounted prices. Mertado has tapped Food Network TV veteran Curtis Aikens to tape exclusive segments for Mertado TV — a unique series of videos on the site that highlight recipes, tips, and tricks for using goods purchased on Mertado.com.

I was recently introduced to Mertado.com. I went to check it out and I was really curious to see how they built their site on FaceBook’s social media platform.

When you get to the site you can sign up with your FaceBook account (which I did) and it takes you to the home page. Sign up is free. On the homepage you are given categories to choose from.

If you look on the right hand side you will see the activity of your FaceBook friends and what they are browsing. One thing I noticed that I thought was really cool was that a lot of the items have free shipping. I LOVE free shipping.

A feature that I find really useful is Mertado TV. On Mertado TV they have loads of  great tutorials, tips & tricks. I am all about tips & tricks. 🙂

While I was browsing I found two really cool products that I wanted to share with you…..

This rotisserie oven holds two full pizzas! That would be great if you didn't want to turn on the oven.

My dad would really like this and it's only $30!

I was given a Coral Springs Home Plush blanket in brown worth $35 to review from Mertado.com. I have more than reviewed it. This is the most comfortable blanket I have ever owned. It is soft and a lot lighter than it looks but it is super warm. My family has been really jealous but the blanket is mine! 😉 The blanket has not left my bed since I opened the package.

    My blanket

Guess what? Mertado.com is also giving a My Crafty Life reader! Please fulfill all mandatory entries .

This giveaway/post was made possible by MomSparkMedia. All thoughts, opinions and observations are, as always, my own. I was given the blanket for reviews purposes only. No other compensation was received.

    About jen @craftymomof3

I am a "crafty" mom of 3 who has been blogging for 10+ years. I’ve been a product reviewer/influencer on and off, but mostly just write about life and food I love. I’m a dyslexic, an extreme book addict, a total nerd, a fangirl, and a paranormal enthusiast. I am a New Englander at heart but I currently live in the MidWest. I am obsessed with the ocean, food, tech, books, anything supernatural, and although I am hopelessly sarcastic...I am a softy. Oh, and I like coffee. A LOT.
