School is back in swing after a wonderfully long, holiday break. I made a promise to myself going in to 2017, I want to eat better and smarter. In the 19 years I have been a mom this has been an issue in my life. I have this weird aversion of letting food control my life so I tend to put it on the back burner during the day. It’s a really bad habit that is enabled by my work-at-home schedule. I don’t have anyone reminding me to eat or asking if I want lunch. Luckily my son is in college now so he comes home more during the day and will literally put lunch in front of me and tell me to eat. Yes, I raised him well.

I know my limits. I am a convenience eater and if it is something I can grab to much on while I work, I will eat. My youngest daughter is the same way. She literally will set her morning routine to the second so she can grab one more minute of sleep before school. She also will forget to eat so I have been looking for something that will entice both of us to eat and that actually tastes good so I will eat it. I am also looking for a product that is high in fiber too, we definitely need it.

My husband suggested belVita Breakfast Biscuits for both myself and my daughter. He has been buying them for work and liked them a lot. After looking at all the awesome flavors of belVita Breakfast Biscuits, I was pretty excited to try them. Liv and I were doing school lunch shopping at Walmart so we grabbed some to try this week. Not only was the price fantastic, I saw in my ibotta app that there was a $.50 off rebate coupon too! I really like that paired with fruit and dairy in the morning, you can get up to 4 hours of energy. Since my daughter at 10 years old is a little young for coffee, this is fantastic for school. My daughter can get up and go! I am going to make sure we have fruit on hand for both of us so school mornings won’t be as hard plus we will be getting the fiber that is so important to have in our diets.

We grabbed the peanut butter, vanilla yogurt and the cinnamon brown sugar for all of us to share.

The cinnamon brown sugar bites were really for me. I am obsessed with anything with brown sugar and cinnamon!

On January 7th and 8th Walmart will be hosting a special belVita Breakfast in-store event. Each location will offer belVita Breakfast Biscuits samples, exclusive savings, smoothies, giveaways and more. You can check locations here. I know I will be at my local Walmart that day! Sounds fun. I will update this post with pictures from the event.

So don’t forget, head to Walmart with your ibotta app ready and your rebate loaded. Join my family and I as we start the new year out fresh and making healthier choices. Grab your belVita Breakfast Biscuits rebate here.

    About jen @craftymomof3

I am a "crafty" mom of 3 who has been blogging for 10+ years. I’ve been a product reviewer/influencer on and off, but mostly just write about life and food I love. I’m a dyslexic, an extreme book addict, a total nerd, a fangirl, and a paranormal enthusiast. I am a New Englander at heart but I currently live in the MidWest. I am obsessed with the ocean, food, tech, books, anything supernatural, and although I am hopelessly sarcastic...I am a softy. Oh, and I like coffee. A LOT.
