Fall is here! So are fall tv premieres.
The X1 Platform™ by XFINITY® An Interactive TV Experience white

Fall is one of my favorite seasons. We get great weather, great coffee flavors (like pumpkin, yum!), great clothes and of course, great tv. All your favorite shows premiere just in time for cuddly nights on the couch, under a blanket with a yummy cup of hot chocolate or tea.

Even the cats get in on the cuddle action in our house. You can always tell when it’s colder.

If your house is anything like mine, fall also brings the busiest time of the year. The kids are back in school, clubs, dance, swimming lessons etc. My oldest also works so we are like ships passing in the night most days.

Like I said, life get’s in the way of your tv watching – as it should. I love that I can set aside time to watch when I can. My son and I watch Supernatural together, but he had to work the night it premiered so we recorded it and watch the next day. The DVR is definitely my favorite invention next to the iPad. I like not having to compromise life vs entertainment. There is room for both.

Whether it’s the new Supergirl or Supernatural (my FAVORITE), there are a ton of awesome new and returning shows that everyone will be talking about this season. XFINITY is your go-to for making sure you’re caught up.

    fall tv picks Xfinity

We have been using the Fall TV – Editor’s Picks lately. They have some pretty awesome recommendations on there and some shows I didn’t even know about! We look through it to find new shows to record. If you click on the show, then other times you can do it all in one screen instead of going all the way back through to the guide like you had to before.

Another favorite feature in my house is that the shows can be found based on the nights they air. It’s so easy and quick to find your show.

With XFINITY On Demand, you can easily catch up on all the shows you’ve heard your friends and coworkers talking about but haven’t had time to watch. We’re officially deeming it “catch up time” and with good reason – the more you watch, the more personalized your X1 system will make your experience! I like turning the DVR on and seeing the most recent shows pop right up so I can start watching right away. The recommendations are usually pretty spot on.

The X1 Operating System includes features like:

    • The Top 100 shows preloaded onto your system
    • Access to XFINITY’s extensive On Demand library refreshed daily with new episodes
    • Personalized recommendations on what to watch
    • With Cloud DVR from X1, you can record up to five of your favorite shows while watching one live and even take your recorded shows with you on the go, so you can always stay up to date!

Here’s a list of October premieres:

    • October 1: Sleepy Hollow, Bones
    • October 2: Dr. Ken
    • October 4: Madam Secretary, The Good Wife, CSI: Cyber
    • October 6: The Flash, iZombie
    • October 7: Arrow, Supernatural
    • October 8: The Vampire Diaries, The Originals
    • October 9: Undatable, Reign
    • October 13: Chicago Fire
    • October 19: Jane the Virgin
    • October 26: Supergirl
    • October 27: Wicked City
    • October 30: Grimm

So grab a blanket, deep couch sit, crack open a bottle of wine and catch up on your favorite shows on X1.

If you haven’t checked out what Ty’s up to yet, you’re missing out! He’s sharing tons of great life hacks and tips for residents of Chicago. My favorite from this month is tip on how to use the app to deal with Chicago weather:

The weather is also in flux during the fall. With the XFINITY Home app, I can adjust my house temps before I ever pull in the drive. In case I have a date, I can also dim the light as well 😜

    About jen @craftymomof3

I am a "crafty" mom of 3 who has been blogging for 10+ years. I’ve been a product reviewer/influencer on and off, but mostly just write about life and food I love. I’m a dyslexic, an extreme book addict, a total nerd, a fangirl, and a paranormal enthusiast. I am a New Englander at heart but I currently live in the MidWest. I am obsessed with the ocean, food, tech, books, anything supernatural, and although I am hopelessly sarcastic...I am a softy. Oh, and I like coffee. A LOT.
