In late 2013 I asked to participate in the Zone Perfect – Blog Forward 2014 Challenge. Basically myself and other bloggers are going to be sharing with you our resolutions for 2014 and how we are going to stick with them plus strive to stay healthy. The thing is I am not real big on resolutions, more on goals. I even went as far as to call them “promises to myself”.

My top 4 promises to myself this year:

    1. Drink more water and less soda. Yes I am cutting down on my beloved Pepsi. I recently had kidney stones that have set my health back quite a bit and I am not looking to repeat the experience. Drinking more water will help me keep that goal.
    2. Eat less junk food snacks and more energy improving snacks, like my favorite Sweet & Salty Cashew Pretzel Zone Perfect bar. It definitely keeps me fuller for longer.
    3. Move more. I have fibromyalgia and this harsh winter has done a number on me. I have gained weight and lost stamina. I am trying to actively move more, even if it’s just 5 minutes of yoga.
    4. Get your sleep back on track so you will lose weight, be in less pain and just overall, happier.

We were also asked to share a letter to letter to our future self that encourages us to stay on track or get back on track.

    Dear Jen,

You have had a tough winter but you know better that these types of things get you way off track and it’s hard to fight your way back.  Stay on course, drink TONS of water and get off your butt as often as you can. This is the only way you will stay healthy and will be able to enjoy this summer with your kids. Eat well and as clean as possible. Limit yourself to 3 meals a day and 2 energy efficient snacks. Make 2014 a healthier year, use the tools Zone Perfect has provided to keep yourself on track!

Another way I am going to stay on track is I printed out these awesome reminder worksheets that have loads of awesome tips and affirmations. If you would like to print them out too just right click on the picture and save to your computer.

    About jen @craftymomof3

I am a "crafty" mom of 3 who has been blogging for 10+ years. I’ve been a product reviewer/influencer on and off, but mostly just write about life and food I love. I’m a dyslexic, an extreme book addict, a total nerd, a fangirl, and a paranormal enthusiast. I am a New Englander at heart but I currently live in the MidWest. I am obsessed with the ocean, food, tech, books, anything supernatural, and although I am hopelessly sarcastic...I am a softy. Oh, and I like coffee. A LOT.
