Are you excited for The Avengers Sept 25th Release?? We are!
My family LOVED the movie. It was the first movie in awhile that we all agreed on being a new family favorite. We were super excited when we heard about the cool Avengers activities at Walmart. One of the neat things you can do at Walmart is the Augmented Reality Super Hero App. There’s a video you can watch that shows you how to work the app. Using the app you can take cool quizzes find out which Avengers character you are and there is even an interactive pizza box!
One of the fun parts of using the app is you basically go on a scavenger hunt to track down the signage with each different interaction. The signs are placed all over the store in the different sections that have Avengers items.
Make sure you download the app ahead of time, then look for signs that look like this:
Once you find the sign, stand about 2 feet away and aim right at the sign. What you see should be something like this:
Following these signs we found some great Avengers merchandise at Walmart for the Avengers themed slumber party my daughter was throwing.

Using the fantastic items we bought my daughter had an awesome party. We had sherbet punch, pepperoni Market fresh pizza and yummy Avengers sprinkle cookies. We had planned to have quite a few outdoor activities but there was an unexpected rain shower that put a “damper” on our plans. We had purchased flyers to shoot of outside that we gave away as party favors instead, masks became decorations and the punch balls apparently were a fun game after mom and dad went to bed. So we decided on a ‘Captain America Frisbee Contest’. We took our glow bracelets and taped them to the bottom of frisbees to create a Captain America glowing shield. It was a lot of fun running around in the dark trying to catch them!

Part of the DVD/BluRay release of the Avengers on September 25th is cool limited edition Avengers Blu-Ray/DVD/Graphic Novel Combo Packs from Walmart ($24.95).
A major pet peeve of mine is waiting to get an item in a store. Sometime’s there are certain items I want right away! Walmart has made the DVD/BluRay Release of Avengers available online (you can even preorder it) and in the stores. Our Walmart is holding an Avengers costume contest on September 25th to celebrate…I think I might bring my 5 year old to it if she is not to crabby from school.
So tell me…who’s your favorite Avengers Super Hero?
Ours? Iron Man and the Hulk…hands down.
