Jen is a 40-something (crafty) mom of 3 & wife of a truck driver.
She is the owner, editor & creator of My Crafty Life.
About
I am relentlessly patient, always sarcastic, have the mouth of a truck driver (ironic, huh?) & I am pretty obsessed with the paranormal/supernatural. I am a daily chronic pain & fatigue fighter. It has been said I am probably the most stubborn person you know. I have never been one to believe in organized religion, but I am fiercely spiritual & believe strongly in nature & the universe. And I like coffee…A LOT.
My star sign is Pisces & I definitely fully embody & embrace the water sign. My favorite thing is probably (besides my family) is the ocean & the beach. It’s where I feel at home. (Cape Cod & Rhode Island beaches to be specific!)
I used to be addicted to smartphones, the internet, and all types of technology. I still enjoy my gadgets but prefer a less connected life now.
A lot has changed since I began this site.
I am a total foodie and love to try new recipes!! What I love the most though is spending time with my family & pets in any way shape or form.
I currently reside in the MidWest but am a New Englander at heart.
Why use the word crafty when you don’t feature a lot of crafts?
Simple. I started this site to help people navigate parenting. I have always prided myself at being a “crafty” parent. Always staying one step ahead of your kids. Myself and my life embodies the word “crafty” in every way. I love crocheting, I love finding cool things to do to keep myself out of trouble and I may be a little mischievous.

- I have three kids. All on the older side now.
- One husband who loves cars, hard rock, and guitars. He’s also enjoys technology.

- Brand Ambassador in the past for U by Kotex Tween: #KotexMom and #DoveTruth, Kimberly Clark, Comcast #TeamTySoFast in the past but have moved on from doing a lot of brand stuff anymore.
- The topics I am most interested in are: technology, books, creativity, arts & crafts, food & recipes, possibly product reviews, organization, travel, & pet products.

Missy
Missy is Jen’s sister from another mister and lives in Central IL. She is a mom, hairdresser, fan girl and an all around awesome person. She is currently writing her first book (if she can get through the first draft) while juggling a soon to be 3 year old and a newborn. Oh, and her husband owns one of Jen’s favorite restaurants that serves the best french fries and ice cream a person could ever want.
